    Nice Note (Post) Cards

    I purchased these because I wanted completely blank notecards (no sayings, etc.) for non-specific quick notes. The number of cards for the price was the biggest selling point. Other pros include the size (about 5 1/4" x 4"). They're perfect for those quick, happy-type notes -- thank-yous, thinking-of-yous, etc. -- exactly what I was looking for. The coordinating envelopes are very cute and match perfectly. They can be used without the envelopes as if sending a postcard (with tweaks). The box holding them is pretty. However... (the cons!) two of the colors are too dark for regular pens. I had to use a medium-point (thicker), dark-colored Sharpie on the dark pink card because a fine point line could not be read with the color and the gloss. All the cards have a glossy finish on both sides, so regular ink smears -- thus the need for permanent-ink markers. Not really a con, but the colors I received don't match the pictures above. The orange color is a neon orange (not dark coral/melon), pretty, but very bright. The darker pink is darker than pictured. The greenish color is more of an aqua green. --- While I love the size of these cards and most of the colors, I don't know that I would buy this set again. I'd prefer softer colors with a matte finish so one could use ball-point pens without smearing. I could see these used as a base for another card/paper on which a note was written (a la scrapbooking). To use as a postcard (no envelope), you'd need to use labels. I don't think the USPS would be able to read the characters on the darker cards. Again, I like these cards; I just don't love them. They are a great size, but you do need to be aware of the colors and the ink and pen-point used.

    Note Cards

    Note Cards

    I have used the notes cards for Thank you notes, for Thinking about your notes, and even for a Birthday card. The bight color make them fun and cheerful and the size is perfect for any quick note needed. They quantity of card in the box was a great value for the cost and I am getting a lot of use out of these card. I will purchase this item again.
