Every new baby in our family get a recordable book, But i think my favorite recordable book was to a long time dear friend who husband was in the service and was going to be shipped off to Japan. This gift is one of her and her daughters most cherished memories of her husband voice now.

I gave this book to a friend for her child’s birthday, she was not familiar with the recordable books. She said it was amazing, and the best present he received. She recently purchased the grandson book for her mom to do for him!

I purchased this recordable book for my Son-in-law who is in the Marine Corps. He was going off on his 5th deployment and his children (my grandchildren) are ages 5 and 7. It's tough on the entire family when he needs to pack up to go but having been in the Marines myself, I know how to ease some of that sadness of deployment periods. My Son-in-law recorded the books in my grandchildren's presence and made sure to emphasize how much he loves them. The books will now serve as daily reminders from "Dad". If you noticed, I said "books" (plural). I bought two of Hallmark recordable books. The other one "Under the same Moon" was also for the kids, this way, they can both share in the special feelings of having Dad read to them, even though he will be on the other side of the world. The books are well made, and perfect for our needs.

My Grand babies moved 19 hours away and were really missing story time and song time each night. A lot of nights I still do both over FaceTime but some evening later we just couldn’t make the time difference work. This is a great way for me to still read to them every night. They play it all the time. Sometimes they play it for me even over FaceTime. It’s so nice to see them happy and adjusting but still having GiGi as part of the bedtime routine. My oldest Grand daughter Charley is 4 and it’s currently her favorite book.
