    Helping children communicate their feelings

I am very excited to find these cards! My adult grandchildren had the wonderful book and it is a great fun way to help children express their feelings without any judgement and it encourages them to talk about the many feelings they experience. I look forward to sharing the cards with our 9 year old grandson and our great-granddaughter who is 18 months old. Thank you Hallmark!

    A surprising hit

My almost 3 year old grandson was quite taken with these cards. His mom used a few cards at a time, and took time with each to use the prompts on the back, and asked more questions to follow up. He is pretty verbal, so I think that helped. Some of the vocabulary is advanced, but his mom just used a lot of synonyms and longer explanations. WIth 52 cards available, there's enough for plenty of conversations about feelings, so important for social development. I was so pleased that I just bought another set for my other grandkids, aged 2 1/2 and almost 5.

    Fun!

My kids enjoy these more than I expected. We use them at dinner times as “conversation starters” and they love seeing the faces. It has also sparked some meaningful conversations. Good for younger kids through grade school age, I’d say! Teaches a lot about different words and expressions for various emotions.
