1965 Ford Mustang Repaint Kiddie Car Classics Collectible Toy

- On collector card: The first Mustang was released in 1964 in a frenzy of fanaticism. Simultaneous ads aired on major network TV the night before release, bringing huge crowds to dealerships. In Dallas, 15 customers vied for the same car, one of them spending the night in it to stake his claim. The Mustang was a legend in the making. Fifty years later the Mustang's fan base is still in a frenzy, thanks to collectors and restorers. They often bring their own restomod style to this classic work of art, just as Hallmark artist Tracy Larsen did: The dark green is the same color as his first bike. The tan racing stripes and hubcaps add some style— but not too much. He says, "There's something about the Mustang that lends itself to clean, simple design."
