    Lifestory

    This shows my son’s growing independence in late Junior High, High School, through College. The next step for our family will be just my husband and I alone, and he will be starting his own family and a separate circle of life on his own. Such of a powerful message - a child alone, focused on studying for his own future. Sad, happy, hopeful, promising, and lonely, all at once. Beautiful piece to complete the family circle of life.

    Graduation Time

    I looked through the Willow Tree collection at Van’s Hallmark Store and was disappointed not to see a boy graduate remembrance; while looking, I saw the catalogue and found the Boy sitting on books and thinking. Immediately, I thought of my grandson who would be graduating in mid-June. I asked the clerk about ordering and she said the store would not order that figurine. I wrote down the name; came home and ordered on-line. Much to my surprise, my Boy on Books arrived in three days. My grandson was delighted with the memento and will be taking to college come August. There was enough room on the base for me to sign my name and year. “Hallmark for the very best!” Thanks for the prompt service as I try to include a Willow Tree ornament on all special family occasions. Club Member for many, many years
