Anniversary photo ideas from Hallmark designers
An anniversary is all about celebrating and remembering. You joyfully remember how you came together, celebrate each other in the here and now, and toast to the happy years still to come. It's hard to think of a better reason to throw a party! Including family and friends – who have been with you from the beginning and are still with you on your journey – makes the occasion even more special.
Let's see smiles!
Photo cards are great for anniversary party invitations. Choose a card to fit the mood you'd like to set for the occasion. Here are some examples:
- Formal wedding photos – from posed shots of you and your spouse, to the wedding party, to both extended families. You can tailor your photos to whoever's on the guest list for the celebration.
- Lighthearted action and candid photos – from cutting the cake, to throwing the garter, to the hokey-pokey. Toasts, decorating the car, and everything that happened in between – these are the photos that bring smiles and a quick reply of "yes" for the RSVP.
- Other occasions – non-wedding photos, such as a trip taken together, a family reunion or holiday gathering, or an annual family photo, can also work very well.
- Before and after – feature your wedding photo and a more recent version of you and your spouse to show how much you've changed. (You can make it a funny reminder of how long you've been together in your journey over the hill!)
For adding photos to party plates, there are also formal or informal options. And if you can't choose just one photo, don't! Our party plates come in sets of ten, so you can choose a different photo for each set of plates you order.
- Traditional – a formal photo of the wedding cake can make a lovely plate design. Or use a photo of the toasting glasses filled with champagne, a lit unity candle, the bride's bouquet or a close-up shot of the bride and groom rings.
- Action photos – a shot of the traditional cutting of the cake (or the messy feeding just after that), the happy couple running through a shower of birdseed, bubbles or confetti, or the first dance of the bride and groom.
- Go natural – a sunset photo from the exotic honeymoon, a close-up shot of a flower from your backyard garden, or the first snowfall on your first house together can be beautiful reminders of your well-spent life.
When choosing a photo for a card or a plate, what's most important is that you choose something that makes you happy. If it's meaningful for you, then it's the right choice.
