Recordable Storybooks

Capturing a voice on every page of a book came from a simple idea: Wouldn't it be cool if Grandpa could read to his grandchild, even when he's not right there?

We knew it was a good idea, too. Parents and grandparents have shared with us that they want to feel more connected to their loved ones—even when they're not around—and they wish they could be there for bedtime every night. So Hallmark launched Recordable Storybooks and changed the way we think about storytime.

Make your own Hallmark moments with one of our Hallmark original stories. Our writers and illustrators—some of the same creative people who work on our cards—tell the stories that they want to share with the little ones in their lives. These books make great gifts from Grandparents and far away relatives. Hallmark original titles include That's What Grandmas Do!, You're a Gift to Our Family and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.

Frequently Asked Questions for Be a Part of the Story Interactive Storybooks

Q: Can pages be rerecorded on the Recordable Storybook to correct imperfect recordings?
A: Yes. Make sure the switch found inside the battery compartment is in UNLOCK mode, the turn to the page you wish to rerecord and press the REC button.

Q: Will the extended storage of my Recordable Storybook with the batteries removed harm the recording?
A: The digital memory is permanent once the switch found inside the battery compartment is in the “lock” position, even when the batteries are removed for extended time periods. For extended storage, we recommend removing the batteries to avoid damaging the product in case the batteries were to leak.
