So much potential, so little product follow-through, so much disappointment
Being a male, I can’t say that I routinely collect the Hallmark ornaments. However, when they started a Christmas Vacation movie line, I was hooked. I first got the station wagon one with the Christmas tree on top, and it was ok. I did not care for the look of the bottom of the tree where the play button is as it looks like a dried up cow patty, but overall was a funny ornament to have on the tree. When I saw the Marty Moose ornament for this year, I was again disappointed with the overall look and the very bland beige colored base. But I love the movie so much, I figured it would still be a good addition to the tree. Unfortunately, I did not try the ornament out in the store as I just assumed that the voices on it would be from the real characters. After I get home and open it, I firstly discovered that there were NO BATTERIES!! So I had to go back to the store. Once I got it working, I was SO disappointed with the generic voiceovers!! If you own the rights to make the blasted ornament, why don’t you get the rights to the voices??? It is insane. I am so ready to just take it back. The poor imitations ruin the entire thing. So disappointing!! Obviously, Hallmark completely fails to realize how much this movie is a part of Christmas culture now and how much guys quote every line of it during the season. This is the first ornament that I would ever think to get another guy. It would of made such a great and easy gift for my friends, but I can’t in good conscience give this to them. The impersonations are just way too bad.

Dissapointed like most people
First of all let me start by saying I own all the previous Christmas Vacation ornaments and have been very happy with all of them until now. I received my Moose Mug last night for my birthday, loaded the battery's to hear the clips from the movie and was extremely disappointed not to hear the the voices of Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid. I was scratching my head because how could they not have the rights to use the voices when "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" is tattooed all over it. I really hope next year they go with something that doesn't require voices or they use the correct voices. This was really disappointing and the voices that they used are so bad I will most likely leave the battery's out of this ornament.

Very deceiving ***** VOICES ARE NOT FROM MOVIE!!!!!
I have purchased every christmas vacation ornament and that's the only reason I bought this one. It does not sound anything like the characters from the movie. The clip from the website does not sound like the ornament.

Disappointed....
The voices sound NOTHING like the characters voices. Hallmark should have done a better job with this, especially for the price....

Bad Decision
It was a bad decision to not use the real voices of Cousin Eddie and Clark. The clip on this website is real, but the actual ornament is very obviously not Chevy Chase or Randy Quaid. Really disappointed with the voices, and the ornament in general doesn't stand up to the previous three.
