1943 Ford GPW
MY MOTHER-IN-LAW STARTED BUYING MY BOYS AN ORNAMENT WHEN MY FIRST WAS BORN AND THEY ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO WHAT THEY WOULD GET. THEY ARE 21 AND 16 AND WE LOST OUR BELOVED MAMA PAT IN OCT 2012 SO THE TRADITION FELL TO ME. MY OLDEST HAS HIS ORNAMENTS TO START HIS TREE AND MY YOUNGEST STILL LIKES TO SEE WHAT HE WILL GET. THANK YOU!!

I was worried when I read the reviews that this would be made of plastic, but it is a beautiful die cast metal ornament with working wheels. My father in law had to sell his beloved WWII Jeep several years ago and I know he is going to love this ornament!

Plastic? The Hallmark Description Says Metal :(
I am waiting to receive the jeep ornament I ordered and I'll be sorely disappointed if it shows up in plastic--Hallmark's own description says it is "die-cast metal"--I do not purchase ANY plastic ornaments!!! I look only at those that are porclean, ceramic, glass or metal. Plastic...collectible? Nope, just more cheaply manufactured. :((

It's such a shame that the die cast metals have slowly been replaced by plastic. This is one particular ornament that should have been metal. The plastic ornaments are degrading the whole collect-ability of Hallmark ornaments in the future. Please stop using so much plastic!

Will not buy anymore
Over the last few years, more and more of the typical die-cast metal Christmas ornaments are coming out in plastic. They are still just as expensive as when they were made of quality materials. These ornaments should not be called Keepsake since they will not last. We will have to stop buying these, because the price is not justified, which is a shame since no one else makes these types of ornaments.
