Through a child’s eyes, waiting for Halloween and Christmas can seem like forever. So imagine how special it would make a sick little girl feel if the holidays were magically moved forward—just for her. Vanessa Marks knows just how that feels. Now a healthy young woman, she has written a children’s book entitled November Christmas, inspired by her memories as a very sick eight-year-old. At age 23, Vanessa returns to her hometown to share her story with a group of children at the local library. Years before as Vanessa’s family struggled to deal with her illness, Tom, her dad, was determined to bring some joy to his family. When he stops by the nearby farm stand during the summer to inquire about pumpkins and Christmas trees, his perceptive neighbor Jess Sanford quickly catches on that he’s trying to move up the holidays. Jess steps in and engages others to help with this heartfelt cause, and while doing so begins a healing process of his own. With the support of their small town and the gift of caring from a neighbor, the father’s wish for his daughter is realized—Halloween in August and a November Christmas.

best movie ever
this movie hit home for me i have a daughter that had stage 3 breast cancer at 25 its been 2 years now she is cancer free and i would recommend this movie to everyone it will make you fill better

I loved this one. But after the year it was not reran that I caught. Maybe that is on purpose so you spend 29 on a DVD? I really think instead of playing all the old programs you do on your Channel you should re-play movies. Just a thought

Have watched this movie several times and enjoyed it each time. Love the way the community comes together to help a child with cancer. It shows a true meaning of help your neighbor. Very touching.

Poignant and Heart-rending
Have watched this movie multiple times on the Hallmark channels. I find it to be one of the most heart-rending Christmas movies I have ever experienced. The movie never fails to make me cry...not just tears...but sobs. I love the little girl who plays Vanessa as a child. Her facial expressions are just precious. The acting by Sam Elliott and John Corbett is outstanding.

Favorite Christmas movie
Keep watching this movie over & over & over. What a great story about helping, faith, friendship, etc. We could use more of this in today's world. Love Sam Elliott's role!!!
