Reading WITH kids
My daughter is an English Teacher. She has a 2 year old. Now is the time to get him interested in reading. Reading is the source to a great education. Early encouragement in reading is a vital step in any child's lifetime educational process.
NUGGET is attractive to a child's curiosity, and easily gets to be their "friend", or reading buddy !

Nugget
This little book was such a hit with my 5 year old granddaughter. She will just begin school this coming year and little Nugget was going to school for the first time too...I had to read it over and over to her after she unwrapped it. It's an excellent prize for a child and I quite enjoyed the interaction as well.

My boys love it
My 3 year old got Nugget for Christmas (my 5 year old got Jingle). He loves it! We have had to read the book and listen to the CD many, many times. Unlike other reviews, I have not had a single issue with it not working properly. My one complaint is that Nugget did not come with a movie like Jingle did. Overall, this was a great purchase and I will be buying the additional books for future gifts.

WORST GIFT ever
My 4 year old granddaughter received this from her other grandma for Christmas. Seemed like a fine gift - but the dog does not respond to her voice. I can tell the dog "I love you" and it tells me it loves me too. But if she says it -- NOTHING!!! What a traumatic experience for a child - tears and "he doesn't like me". We tried and tried to change her speaking manner - which is really very clear - to get the thing to respond. Never did. Just much disappointment for her!!! And LOTS of tears.

Doesn't work!
Don't waste your time. My mom got this for my son and all he says is the on and off phrases. $35 down the drain!
