What people are saying

Sarah, Plain and Tall 5 5 1 1
The acting is outstanding The acting and writing make this Hall of Fame movie a real stand out. The emotions for most of the movie are very understated, but quite real, and the situations ring true. I don't usually think of Christopher Walken as a leading man type, but he seems very likely here as a grieving widower who thinks love is over for him, and the transformation in him as he realizes he loves Sarah is wonderful to see. Glenn Close is perfect as the no-nonsense Yankee finding herself trying to learn to live in a strange prairie world far from the sea she loves. She is willing to make it work, but Walken may be more than she can handle! The children -- well, you must just love them! I heartily recommend this movie! February 14, 2013
